What is Live Media?
You’ve heard of paid, earned, shared, and owned media, the construct commonly used to broadly describe advertising, public relations, social, and web-based media. You also know about print, broadcast, and possibly even mobile and out of home. These are all valuable modes of communication which serve a unique purpose. But something is missing.
There is nothing more powerful, persuasive, or personal than a live human connection. It's the original form of social media. Humans are a social species, and we know from Abraham Maslow that human connection and belonging are central needs within each of us. And there is no form of media that is better at activating human connection than a live event. Events are LIVE MEDIA.
